Research scientist/Postdoc position available!

Boise State University and the Xu research lab invite applications for a full-time research scientist/postdoc position in Computational Chemistry and Biophysics. Research areas are open, preferably relevant to renewable energy, molecular targeted therapeutics design and drug delivery systems. Novel computational method and software development are also welcome.

The successful candidate is expected to carry out and publish high-impact scientific research, as well as participate in grant proposal preparation. In addition, she/he will help train, guide and mentor graduate and undergraduate students.

A Ph.D. degree or equivalent experience in a related discipline (chemistry, biology, physics, biomedical engineering,  mathematics, molecular biology, computer or computational science etc.) and peer-reviewed publications in respected journals are required. Strong background and genuine interest in computational modeling and simulation are essential, as are good interpersonal and communication skills, effective work habits, and the ability to work as part of a team. Working knowledge of computer cluster system administration is a plus.
